As dormitory students, we must eat in the dining hall. The dining hall has three floors, and I rarely go to the third floor now. I used to eat on the first floor, but now I eat on the second floor. Why not eat on the first floor? Because the first floor lacks "quality."
I don't mean to belittle the people who eat on the first floor, but the behavior of some people on that floor makes me feel very uncomfortable eating there. Firstly, the first floor is very crowded, with one cafeteria staff member having to deal with multiple queues. Some students can open a separate queue next to us and get their food faster than those of us who patiently wait in line, which feels unfair and uncomfortable. Additionally, sometimes I find myself queuing in lines where everyone is female, because compared to other lines, these lines are very orderly. At this point, some girls will shamelessly move me out of the line or cut in front of me. They will even turn around and talk to their friends behind them. I can't help but think: they are fighting for the so-called spotlight among girls. It makes me uncomfortable. Lastly, we are required to clean up our trays and put them in a designated area after finishing our meal. Some trays are left abandoned on the table, and some students throw their trays into the sink. Throwing trays splashes water all over the cafeteria worker, who complains, "Don't throw it." The student didn't even apologize, just walked away without looking back.
Is it tiring to bend over and put a tray away? Not really. When I see these behaviors, I don't remember their names, but I think that this age group, even the entire junior high school section, lacks "quality."
